Friendly Rallying
It is a gathering of Auto-Trail Owners’ Club Members who enjoy weekends away with fun and fellowship thrown in for good measure. Use your motorhome nearly all year round in lovely surroundings at reasonable prices. You can enjoy a natter, have a laugh and perhaps a drink or two - a real opportunity to make new friends and visit new places.
All ages are welcome, we see a complete mixture of people from all walks of life: people who are still working, retired people, people on their own, people with their dogs (and cats and budgies and hamsters!) and, of course, children and grandchidren are welcome.
The Auto-Trail Owners’ Club holds rallies throughout the year (yes, even during the winter) at a variety of venues throughout the UK and in Europe.
Most rallies run from Thursday or Friday until Monday or Tuesday. You can attend a rally for the duration or, often, fewer nights, the choice is yours.
Rallies are held at rugby clubs, football clubs, school playing fields or commercial sites. Some are held at locations close to a local attraction or event. See the Rally Programme for a summary of the rallies being held this year.
Lots, generally! The daytime is usually available to spend at your leisure, although sometimes optional activities are arranged, such as walks, coach or boat trips. A competition or quiz may be provided for you to work on over a few days.
A social gathering, sometimes with food provided, is often arranged. You never quite know what to expect - but we can guarantee an enjoyable (if sometimes unusual) event. Often, there is a Coffee Morning, normally on Sunday, at which, new members are welcomed, rally updates are advertised, a raffle is usually drawn and any competition winners announced, sometimes with prizes presented.
Take part in as much or as little as you wish - there is no pressure to join in anything or everything.
A number of special rallies are held, including the very popular Factory Rally (TBC) and the AGM Rally, both of which offer professional entertainment (TBC). We also hold overseas rallies and anniversary rallies.
This is the great thing about rallying. Prices obviously vary depending on the venue, but can be less than £15 per unit per night, plus a small rally fee. Stewards are usually able to negotiate a special rate when rallying on a commercial site.
This varies, some rallies are small with fewer than twenty motorhomes attending. Others, especially those near a popular location or event, can attract over fifty units.
Join us and explore a whole new way of motorhoming,
making many new friends!
